New Friends!

So today I did a little bit of surfing around the net and found some more bloggers! Josh Beutler told me his blog site last December when I saw him last at his sisters wedding, of course I forgot it. But I found it today! yay! I grew up with Bobbi Flinders (Comeau) and I usually think of her every time I pass her old house and wonder how things are going for her. I was so glad to come across her blog too. And Natalie Garrison (Marshall) also keeps a blog. We didn't particularly hang out, but she was Melinda Bair's good friend. But, whenever I was around them she would always keep me laughing. Plus it looks like she makes some really cute stuff I think you'll like, so check out her blog. (funny thing is I saw her Dad taking a walk yesterday and thought of her haha.)

Edit: Now my sister-in-law Mandy started her new blog today! YAY!

"Wipeout"

So I am known to my in-laws as the person that laughs at people that get hurt...its true.

So when the previews for wipeout started airing, they all asked me if I have seen them. Of course, I have and I already set my DVR to record the show.

Well the show was last night. We were watching as a family (except Madison isn't home) but Sam didn't like it. He kept crying every time someone biffed it. So we put him to bed and finished it with Jack.

Well we loved it. It was quite funny. Then of course there was another show after that and Jack went down to the basement to watch cartoons.

Well when I went down to tell him it was time for bed, he had created his own version of wipeout! It was so funny, so I grabbed a few shots...

Busy Weekends

So this weekend we were at the cabin, but of course I double scheduled and on Saturday I was to be at a Scrapbooking workshop that went from 10-10. I planned on being there the whole time and I wanted to get a lot of my traditional scrapbooking done, But after being there on Friday I decided that I would go but not be there all night. So I ended up just taking my laptop and actually getting some organizing done! yay! and I also taught a class there on photo editing tips used in MM. It was fun and I always love going to the cabin. I will post some pictures later.

Happy Fathers Day, Riley

Yesterday Riley and I drove down to American Fork and got this Motor Scooter for Riley to drive to work. It gets 80+ miles per gallon, tops out at 65mph, and it was affordable for us. So the plan is to save about $200 a month on gas! Yay! Plus it is fun to ride around town on. We cruised all over town for our date night last night and had a blast. So since its Fathers Day this weekend, we are counting this as a Fathers Day gift.

Getting Scrapbook Fever

So on June 21 I am going to the all day scrapbooking event at south town from 10-10 So I plan to get ALOT done! At first I thought I would just bring my laptop and digi scrap but I think I am going to take ALL my stuff so I can get ALL of my traditional scrapbooking done! ya right well I am going to shoot for that anyway. So hence the getting organized! I have gathered all my stuff. My photos are all organized up to 2006. I really haven't printed anything past 2006 and that's where I will pick up and do the rest digi style. I am getting all the memorabilia organized now, I just have a couple of piles to put in my files. And I have a timeline ready. SO next step is to power layout TONS of pages.  We'll see how much I will be able to get done.

I have 6 years of a family album to do.

2 years of my travel album to finish.

3 years of Maddies book,

and 1 year of Jacks book.

Whew, think I can do it all on one day? Hmmm we'll see. :)

Maddie's growing up!

On Saturday, just out of the blue, Riley took Maddie's training wheels off and started teaching her how to ride on two wheels. It's a good thing I decided to go outside and check on Sam or I might have missed the whole thing.  We ended up going across the street to the church and I was able to get some photos and video. As she got better and better and was doing it with no help I just started crying realizing how big she was getting. I am so proud of her!

Back from Minnesota

So I got back from Minnesota last week and I had a great time! Even though I was in Meetings all day it was such a great experience. I was so surprised by the way the meeting was set up and how it was conducted. It was facilitated by a professional facilitator so the meeting was completely all on fair ground. (if that makes any sense) But anyway, I met Dawn Oldham there, who has been with the company as a consultant for 20 years and leads the field with unit sales. But she was so personable and fun to be around. We were up both nights until 1 am talking. It was so awesome getting to know her and be inspired by her. I am really excited for the future of this company and what opportunities that might come along just by being there at those meetings. So I decided to sign up for their showcase convention which is held in Minnesota at the first of August. So it will be great to go back there again.
