We Leave Today!!!!

We are leaving today for Disneyworld! Yay! The kids are so excited. We don't leave until this afternoon so Maddie is still going to school.  So it is a normal day so far except that Riley is home from work. But I am nervous and excited too. I am worried that Sam will do Ok on the flight, if I pack everything I need including enough food for Sam, and I am worried about checking in security with all our stuff...strollers, carryon, car seats, computer....but I think the excitement out weighs the worry. So here we go! Maybe while we are there I can get pictures posted...but you know me...it could go either way  ; p

Disneyworld

Six days until we leave for Disneyworld. I am so excited to get out of all this muck! So far my family has been passing around all sorts bugs and it has been at least a month that someone in this house has been sick. We need some warmth and sun!!!

"Flat Stanley"

Madison's class read a book called "Flat Stanley" and the project is to mail Flat Stanley all over the world and to document his adventure.
this is the letter from her teacher:

Dear Friend,
Our class just finished reading a really neat book called "Flat Stanley" by Jeff Brown. It is the story of a boy named Stanley Lambchop who found himself to be flat as a pancake after a bulletin board fell on him in his sleep. At first he and his family were alarmed at the situation, but soon Stanley discovered some advantages to his "flatness".
One advantage was that Stanley was able to go and visit his friend in California by climbing into an envelope and being dropped in a mailbox! That is the part of the story that you are helping us to re-inact.
Enclosed you will find a Flat Stanley. We ask that you keep Stanley with you for a week or so, and help him to have some adventures during his visit. When Stanley is ready to come home, would you put him in an envelope (along with a picture or two of your adventure or anything else you would like to send that would be of interest to our class and would help us learn about the places that Stanley is visiting.)
We hope you and Stanley have a great time! Thanks for having him! We can't wait to learn about his adventures!

We are taking Flat Stanley with us to DisneyWorld next week!

I also asked my fellow osp'ers (photography forum) to help me out with this. So far we have had quite a few volunteers to host Stanley. We are sending him to TX, AL, WA, HI, GA, MI, TN, CO, MO, Japan, and he is making a special delivery of Donated School Supplies to Iraq!

Better Blogger

Hi all, I have a new program where I can directly write into my blog without having to open my blogger account each time so I should be a better blogger for you all! Yay!

Jacks Birthday!

Last Sunday he turned Three. Goodbye terrible two's!!!! Hopefully the three's get better, but I've heard not. Anyway we love you Jack. I will be posting some pics later

Disneyland Here we Come!

Yea!!!! We are leaving for Disneyland in just a few hours, so I better get packing. After we get back I will post some pics!

My promise

I can't believe that fall is here and I haven't posted about the kids much. I want to try to most more about what is happening with the kids. They are growing so fast and I'm not real good at keeping a journal, and I'm not real good at remembering the cute things that they say and do. So this is a promise that I will do better even if it is only a few lines of what was going on.
